Growing Your Substack With Notes (Workshop)
A 40-minute Notes workshop for Christian writers
I’ve wanted to do this for a while.
A few months ago I wrote a two-part series on Substack Notes (part one, part two)—how to think about them, how to structure them, how to extract them from articles you’ve already written so you’re not staring at a blank screen every day.
The articles were detailed, but at roughly 5,000 words in total, potentially a bit overwhelming. Let’s face it: sometimes video is just easier.
So I recorded a workshop.
It’s about 40 minutes. I walk through everything: the mindset shift (visibility as stewardship, not vanity), the anatomy of a Note that actually connects, a live demo of how I pull Notes from my own articles, and a sustainable weekly system that doesn’t require you to post three times a day or lose your mind.
Below the video, you’ll also see a downloads section, which includes:
The slides from the workshop
A quick-reference PDF for the 5 universal Note patterns
A PDF of 10 Notes templates to get you started
The ‘Complete Thought’ checklist you can use for your Notes
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy!
